The basic version of XIOS UC consists of the Main board (MC), extendable by up to 5 extension modules (MA) and an Expander Board MD1 or MD2.

XIOSUC Input-Output Module

The modular, universal XIOS control system represents a new generation of ECUs. At its core lies the motherboard with a high-performance CPU and generous DRAM and FLASH memory. Thanks to the FPGA chip, the computing power can primarily be used for the CPU or PLC functions, as well as for control processes requiring a lot of processing power. In addition to the motherboard, several jumperless, configurable I/O modules can also be used. XIOS enables individual control functions based on CoDeSys (IEC 61131-3) or MATLAB®/Simulink® to be developed. It is also ideal for alarm and monitoring purposes.

ICENI I/O Modules

The I/O modules in the ICENI range can be used for communicating with a PC or PLC devices, or for expanding the RE Viking35 ECU. The modules are mounted on standardised rails and have been designed with value for money in mind. They can be easily programmed using a touchscreen, without the need for support from a programmer or laptop. ICENI has been designed for high-performance operation under the high temperatures in the engine, but is equally suitable for other applications – whether as an extension of RE control and monitoring solutions or as a product for other original equipment manufacturers.

Setpoint Adjusters for Analogue Governors

To specify the setpoint for analogue HEINZMANN speed governors, we offer many different types of potentiometers to meet different requirements. The range includes rotary potentiometers, motor potentiometers, electronic potentiometers as well as foot pedals and similar adjustment aids.

The ESW 01 electronic motor potentiometer is used in conjunction with the analogue HEINZMANN speed governors. It converts clocked pulses into an analogue speed setpoint signal that can be used for the electronic governor.

Power Supply

A supply voltage of 24 VDC is required to run HEINZMANN electronics governors. In order to ensure this, HEINZMANN offers various power supply units in different sizes to suit different power requirements. Some models also feature an emergency power supply so that the governor can continue working in the event of an emergency. For that HEINZMANN applies tried-and-tested components from PHOENIX CONTACT.
