Dual-Fuel for Navy GenSet
Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) has equipped the new TESO ferry between Texel and Den Helder with two diesel and two dual fuel motors. There are two ABC 12VDZD and two ABC 12 VDZ motors, which are controlled by a HEINZMANN system. The ABC motors have a speed of 1000 rpm and an electrical output of 2000 kW.

Dual-Fuel for Navy GenSet
Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) has equipped the new TESO ferry between Texel and Den Helder with two diesel and two dual fuel motors.
The challenge:
The engines each have a rated electrical output of 2000 kW at a speed of 1000 rpm. Conversion to common rail is intended to save costs and reduce emissions.
The solution:
The diesel engines are each controlled by the HEINZMANN PRIAMOS DC 1-03 system via a StG 16. The dual-fuel engines, on the other hand, are controlled by a PRIAMOS DC1-04 DF, which controls a StG 6 for the gas quantity in addition to the StG 16. As the dual-fuel engines are operated with a residual diesel quantity of only 10 %, not only can fuel be saved considerably, but emissions can also be reduced to a minimum.
