Close cooperation with colleges and research institutions is a fundamental issue for HEINZMANN and is essential to maintain our innovation leadership in fields such as reduction in emissions from diesel engines.
Supported by both the German government and the EU, the cooperation projects regularly lead to significant development successes:
- The fuel-saving “Schluckspecht” diesel engine designed by students from Offenburg technical college won the international Shell-Eco-Marathon [ detailed article from Badische Zeitung].
- The “Variable speed generator” project based on cooperation with MOBIMA/KIT at the University of Karlsruhe and Hatz Motoren GmbH was presented during the German President’s environment week in 2012 [ detailed article from Badische Zeitung].
Ultimately, the projects give the students involved the opportunity to directly apply their studies to a demanding industrial challenge. We encourage you to use our college events as an opportunity to talk to employees about the possibilities for student projects with HEINZMANN.
