HEINZMANN Hybrid Drives: Awards at Intermat with HEINZMANN participation

A HEINZMANN hybrid drive is the heart of the Double award winning multifunctional excavator “12MTX” from MECALAC

The INTERMAT 2009, one of the world’s three biggest shows for the construction materials production industry, takes place on April 20 – 25, 2009 in Paris. The Innovation Awards are part of INTERMAT’s drive to reward innovation. The competition rewarded innovation in 3 categories: Machinery, Equipment & Components and Services.

An overall Special Environment Prize was also awarded to an innovation that contributes to respect for the environment. The results of this competition were officially unveiled for the first time on January 17th, 2009 as part of the Pre-INTERMAT. The award presentation ceremony will take place during the INTERMAT show in April 2009.

A HEINZMANN hybrid drive is the heart of the multifunctional excavator “12MTX” from MECALAC who won the two main prizes in this competition: INTERMAT GOLD AWARD in the Machinery category and the INTERMAT GREEN AWARD.

HEINZMANN developed together with MECALAC and CUMMINS the 15/30 kW electric motor and the corresponding electronics. This motor is integrated in the fl y wheel casing of  the CUMMINS engine and provides the powerful performance at reduced fuel consumption and reduced emissions.
