HEINZMANN announces new product line
Heinzmann is proud to announce a new addition to its product range of auxiliary components - the Heinzmann D1000 Arc Protection.
The D1000 Arc Protection provides a simple yet effective solution to arc protection. The D1000 Arc Protection can be used to protect distribution switchboards, transformers or wind turbines. The D1000 is applicable in any application from 380 VAC upwards, and can be used in marine as well as land applications.
The D1000 is especially suitable for vessels with diesel-electric propulsion, as it provides effective insurance against a switchboard burnout, which could render the propulsion inoperable.
The D1000 Arc Protection provides fast detection of the developing arc and will trip the supply in less than 1 millisecond to prevent serious damage from the installation. The primary detection system works on light but can be easily combined with a three-phase current measurement. The D1000 Arc Protection includes a comprehensive selfdiagnostic feature to ensure safe operation and maximum reliability. One D1000 Arc Protection module will cover a complete switchboard with up to 6 compartments. Multiple D1000 modules can be linked together to form a larger system of light sensors. No configuration is required for basic operation and advanced configuration is provided through USB.
