PHLOX Ignition System completes HEINZMANN Gas Engine Management Range

In its capacity as a supplier of complete management systems for gaseous-fueled engines, HEINZMANN is plugging its last gap by launching the new PHLOX ignition system - and is now able to supply every component for these engines. Customers are consequently in a position to obtain a perfectly harmonised complete system from a single source.
Efficiency and emissions depend to a key extent on the performance of the ignition system. This has to adapt flexibly to the requirements of the engine, the mode of operation and the fuel. The PHLOX ignition system is available for up to 16 cylinders and its high ignition energy means that it can also be used for biogases and low calorific gases. The automatically-adapted ignition output minimises spark plug wear. Long plug lives and reduced maintenance guarantee maximum reliability for minimum cost. This is ensured by the on-board diagnosis system, among other things, which continuously monitors the state of the entire ignition system.
The ignition system is available in various design variations with regard to number of cylinders, sensors and interfaces, and can accordingly be perfectly configured to suit the application in question across a broad range of engine outputs.
The DcDesk communication program sets parameters and performs diagnosis simply and clearly.
The two CAN bus interfaces make PHLOX highly communicative for seamless incorporation in HEINZMANN’s engine management system. Co-operation with HEINZMANN's ARIADNE knock control system is particularly significant here, as it allows the engine to be operated in the optimum efficiency range at all times - with the best possible protection. The CAN bus also facilitates communication with third-party systems or a higher-level control system. This provides the customer with adequate opportunities for implementing his own control functions.
HEINZMANN supplies an extensive range of accessories to go with the ignition control unit, including sensors, ignition coils, ignition cables, mounting rails and cable harnesses for virtually every engine. All components complement one another perfectly.
