HEINZMANN launches new Electric Drive Systems for Pedelecs, E-Bikes and Electric Light Vehicles

The Company HEINZMANN strengthens its position as specialised manufacturer of advanced electric drive systems for Pedelecs, E-Bikes and Electric Light Vehicles. In addition to the well-known gear hub drive motor, two new  brushless motors are presented at the EUROBIKE: One gearless hub drive motor and one middle motor, all with a new, innovative control system with comfortable display, blue tooth option with SmartPhone, new high capacity lithium-ion batteries and new torque sensor or throttle knob, respectively. All the HEINZMANN motors have high efficiencies to achieve the highest possible driving range.

Summary of HEINZMANN novelties at the EUROBIKE:
  1. PedPower is the name of HEINZMANN´s new middle motor concept. The complete drive system with sensor is invisibly hidden behind the chain cover. Only the battery pack is integrated in the luggage carrier. Thus, the cabling is reduced to a minimum. The assembling by the OEM (bike manufacturers) of the drive system PedPower in the adjusted bike frame is limited to few screws only. The expected high motor power of HEINZMANN is active practically over the whole bike speed range due to the standard bike gear. The brushless middle gear-motor  lowers the mass centre which provides a comfortable, safe handling of the pedelec. PedPower is available with and without back pedal brake.
  2. DirectPower is HEINZMANN´s new gearless hub drive motor for assembling in the front or rear wheel. The high poled, permanently excited synchronous motor is also known as torque motor. These motors are characterised by high torque, good efficiency, smoothly running feature and lowest noise emission. DirectPower delivers in its standard version 40 Nm torque. A further advantage is its recuperation capability where unused brake energy can be converted to charge the battery.
  3. Classic: The proven, known HEINZMANN hub drive motor with gear is ongoing popular. The complete system is now available at a reduced price due to new system control unit, new sensors, new batteries and two options for the drive control: By torque sensor or by throttle knob.
  4. Innovative System Control and Display: The DSP system control is integrated in the battery pack and can be parameterised for all requirements. The display is anti-reflected and background illuminated – thus, it is clearly visible at sun shine and at darkness. A separate charge socket allows direct charging without removing the battery pack. The following features are displayed: Charge condition, speed, driven distance and daily distance in km, the time as an option. Driving by torque sensor as well by throttle knob is supported. An interface allows special, customised options. The drive is turned on keyless via password input.
  5. Blue Tooth and Others: The blue tooth installation allows optionally a BT interface to the SmartPhone. The SmartPhone must have an operational system Android 2.0 and up. A holder for HTC Desire is available. Use your SmartPhone as display with GPS route planner!
    The optional inclination sensor of the comfort program provides automatically an increased power support during up-hill driving.
  6. Battery Pack: The new battery pack with lithium-ion cells is integrated in the luggage carrier or, alternatively, in the saddle bag. The battery pack comes in capacities of 10, 12 and 14 Ah. Single cell measurement and balancing guarantee a long life time. The control unit and the battery management are integrated in the battery pack.
