In order to keep mechanical intervention in an existing system to a minimum, HEINZMANN collaborated with a customer to produce a “stand-alone” version of the HYPERION. In addition to the fact that it is quick to replace, it is characterised by the particularly shock-resistant bearing of the starter generator motor. The intelligent hybrid control unit enables the system to detect the presence of the machine and thus switch on the hybrid function automatically.

In addition to its independent construction, the most high-performing version of the HYPERION yet was also used: with an effective magnetic length of 100 mm and the resulting continuous/peak outputs of 40/60 kW at an engine efficiency level of over 96 % (degree of system efficiency > 92 %), it was possible to prove its great efficiency in the higher performance class, too.
