HEINZMANN's Solutions for Reduction of Exhaust Gas Emissions, in: "Worldwide Independent Power"

Drucken

Today, businesses worldwide are challenged with the threat and effects of Global warming by increasing public and governmental pressure to mitigate damage to the environment by the reduction of industrial emissions.

For many years, Heinzmann has continued to develop innovative ideas not only in Engine Speed Control but also in the reduction of exhaust gas emissions. There are now new products from Heinzmann to meet this challenge for all types of engines.

Electronic Fuel Injection

New controls including Odysseus, high pressure common rail fuel injection, Exhaust Gas Recirculation controls, Kronos Air-Fuel ratio controls with precise gas metering and Megasol Sequential Gas Injection systems for converting diesel engines into dual fuel operation.
State of the art digital fuel injection is now available from Heinzmann incorporating the latest common rail diesel injection system, enhancing engines performance and also reducing engine exhaust emissions.

Odysseus, common rail fuel injection is designed for engines up to 3Mw using specially designed high pressure fuel pumps and injectors for reliability and precise control of liquid fuel pressures of 2000bar.

The precise control of fuel and constant high pressure delivery per cycle of injection offers enhanced combustion and the reduction of emissions.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Poisonous Nitrogen Oxides are produced only at highest temperatures in the combustion cycle. The main combustion product in an engine burning Carbon based fuel is Carbon Dioxide, however, as an extinguishant, CO2 can help to reduce peak cycle temperatures (and therefore NOx ) if recycled as a moderate flow back into the engine intake.

Heinzmann now offer this technology with their EGR valves and controllers reducing emissions and enhancing engine performance.

Duel Fuel Conversions

End users with existing older diesel engines have limited options when it comes to reducing exhaust emissions.

Heinzmann now has the solution. A diesel engine conversion using MEGASOL gas injection just before the engine inlet valve allows gas fuel to be burnt using the diesel fuel as a pilot fuel. Depending upon engine type, size and age, pilot fuel can be as low as 10% allowing 90% load to be supported by the gas.
